Why Landscaping in Central Florida Requires Local Expertise
Lake Mary sits in USDA Hardiness Zone 9b. That sounds friendly until you actually try to grow something here. Our 4-Step Landscape Design Process
Most homeowners we meet have been quoted a number on a napkin by someone who never walked the property. That is not how we run a design. Here is the process we use on every full landscape project in Lake Mary.
1. Consult & Site Walk
We come out, walk the property with you, and listen. We look at sun exposure, drainage, soil, existing tree health, HOA constraints, your kids and pets, your maintenance appetite, and your budget. This visit is free and there is no obligation. Mark or one of our project managers will be there in person.
2. Design & Plant Selection
We draw the plan. Bed layouts, plant list with quantities and sizes, hardscape dimensions, irrigation zoning, and a phasing plan if you want to do it in stages. We share the plan with you, edit until it is right, and then submit it to your HOA’s ARB if one is required. Most Lake Mary communities need a plan on file before any work starts.
3. Install & Build
Our crew handles the install. Grading, drainage, hardscape, irrigation, planting, sod, and mulch, in the right order so we are not tearing up finished work. We coordinate with any other trades on site, pull permits when the City of Lake Mary or Seminole County require them, and keep the job site clean every day we are there.
4. Maintain & Grow
A new landscape needs the first year of care dialed in or you lose plants. When is the best time to install sod in Central Florida?

A full design-build with drainage, irrigation, large hardscape, planting, and sod can take two to four weeks, depending on permit timing and material lead times.
